Messy Church beginning at 6 pm. Messy church is a more contemporary service, where we come together share a meal, some contemporary song, a brief message designed for multigenerational audience, and a craft, service project, or team building activity.

RV Habitat Repair Programs
Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity offers repair help for Hunterdon and Somerset County homeowners who qualify as low or moderate income. Repair programs include:
Brush With Kindness
Smaller scale help including clearing basements, yard cleanup, deck maintenance, and small paint or repair jobs. These projects are no cost to the homeowner, but donations are appreciated.Home Safety and Repair
Slightly larger projects like installing sheetrock, flooring, cabinets, or window panes. Homeowners provide materials for these projects; RV Habitat provides labor.Critical Home Repair
Larger repairs that address homeowners’ health and safety. Examples include repairing ramps, railings, or entry doors; furnace replacement; siding repair necessary for the protection of the home, and accessibility upgrades. Homeowners will be responsible for a portion of the costs determined on a sliding scale based on income. Payments can be made over time with zero interest. -
Somerset County Handy Man Project
The Handyman Program provides support services, in the way of minor household repairs, to seniors and disabled citizens of Somerset County. The goal of this program is to provide support for residents who wish to live safe and independent lives in their own homes. For services call 908-541-5715

At RWJBarnabas Health, we’re pleased to offer a wide variety of support services, especially when it comes to assisting our patients and their families. These programs and services are available throughout our hospitals.
- Observant Jewish Families Program: The Observant Jewish Families Program for pediatric patients and their families offers pantries with refrigerators specifically for kosher food that is routinely stocked. Prayer books are also available.
- Pet Therapy Program: The use of therapy dogs has been shown to help reduce stress for patients and their families. This program was designed with this insight in mind, aiming to enhance the healing process. Our volunteer handlers and therapy animals deliver positive interactions that bring unconditional love from an animal to the bedside, contributing to the emotional and physical healing process.
- Ronald McDonald House: The Ronald McDonald House provides accommodations for families of seriously ill children who are being treated at RWJBarnabas Health pediatric hospitals and other area hospitals.
